Fate Of Catan
personalDescription
We like to play the board game "Catan" but it often gets very unbalanced, frustrating, or boring after a while. So Felix came up with the idea to create a digital layer to expand the game with meaningful events that shake up the game. "Fate of Catan" is free-to-play expansion with addtional rules and events to make this game even more versatile.
INT-91 — Am Alien Life Form
schoolDescription
The internet constantly surrounds us. It has become such a given that we do not even appreciate the wonder this technology enables us to anymore. At the same time, the internet is constantly changing. The internet from 20 years ago is vastly different from today and very likely that this will remain true for the following years. Like a life form, the internet is evolving, adapting to its environment.
This is a thought experiment in which the internet is represented as an alien life form. The artifact represents the interaction that the internet has with us, humans. It is purposefully kept vague and does not reveal the underlying inspiration to leave the viewer puzzled, only hinting at its origin. The project aspires that eventually, the true meaning is realized, and this technology gets appreciated a little bit more again.

Featureless
schoolDescription
Featureless is an alternative world where abstract, monochromatic figures, explore their environment through movement while being tracked by a camera capturing a distant arbitrary perspective.Through this objective vantage point, the fourth wall diminishes and a theatre-in-the-round experience emerges.
My Role
I have been a model for five of the ten movements. I then was responsible for combining the captures in Unity and setting up the scene.

Quantum Tetris
schoolDescription
This project visualizes quantum computing. Using the relatively simple example of TETRIS, we want to display the beauty of ’noise‘ that currently still remains in quantum computing.
Each tetronimoe is generated using a quantum computer. The circuit is set up to only generate the seven classic shapes, however, due to noise, the quantum computer generates pieces that should not exist.
Due to the nature of quantum computing, the order of the pieces is truly random.
My Role
I was mostly responsible for concepting the logic behind the mental model, as well as developing the quantum circuit generating the tetronimoes. I then built and developed the hardware representation of the project

An interactive website article that explains how data is encoded into DNA. It starts with the question "what is code?" and ends up in compiling text into a hypothetical DNA sequence.
Lamello Choreography Generator
personalDescription
A Munich artist needed help to control a slatted curtain. The curtain shows artwork and should open and close automatically. As he, eventually, needs to change the choreographies, depending on the exhibtion or venue, I created this small tool, that generates ready-to-paste Arduino code, so that he can easily adapt the setup.

Nicki and I realized in our shared work at IDEO, how meetings often do not achieve the intended goal, as time frames are not adhered to. With a simple time keeping tool, that does not allow for editing after the timer has started, we tried to tackle this issue.

My Role
I developed this little tool.

The Device
confidentialclientDescription
In this project we designed the interface of a device.
My Role
I was mostly responsible for prototyping the complete user experience. This involved concepting, designing, and building the prototyping setup. It entailed a physical setup, roughly the size of a king bed, and needed to operate three screens and a variety of physical interfaces.
The prototype was then tested with multiple particicpants at two different countries simultaneously. This required to coordinate the setup and testing to work at a different environment and forced me to build everything stable, versatile, and understandable to be replicated easily.
Next to prototyping the experience, I particiapted in conducting research interviews, designing assets and UI screens, and developing interaction patterns.

Our client asked from us to design their whole digital experience. This includes their website and applications, but also in-store experiences and system architecture.
In our global research with customers, employees, and the market, we discovered the core pain points, and provided and tested concepts along with a clear actionable roadmap.
My Role
I researched with Sven in New York City and Shanghai. This involved conducting interviews with customers, but also real-time prototyping in the retail stores. In the conceptual phase, I was responsible for designing touchpoints as well as defining the user journey and making it tangible. I also developed the roadmap for the upcoming five years.
